	The project coordinator is the on call person responsible for holding the customer’s hand through the entire building process. This project-dedicated representative guides the homeowner through the various stages of design, budget, selections, construction, and closing. Regular status meetings are held at the jobsite with the customer and project manager along with phase-relevant subcontractors to keep the homeowner updated and involved in the building process. Customer attention continues long after construction is complete with a two-year comprehensive warranty and a no-questions-asked cosmetic touchup during the first year of occupancy. Members of the Shelly Home Company team include Matt Christian, another Texas A&M graduate. Matt joined the company as a construction manager in 2001 with a degree in Construction Science and experience in commercial construction. Another associate, Richard Garison, is an AIA licensed architect and graduate of the University of Texas with over 34 years of construction experience. Since 2003, Richard allows our company the opportunity to offer design/build services to homeowners desiring turnkey project delivery. Project demand by 2005 required adding an additional coordinator, Archie Donaho. His background includes experience as a journeyman electrician. In 2008, Ginger Hood united with the team and is responsible for the daily operation of our office. Her educational and administrative background helps keep the company organized and efficient. Over the years, Shelly Home Company has received numerous awards including Summit and Star Awards for quality construction. We were the recipient of the 2009 Summit Award for Best Rural Product, $1,001,000 to $1,500,000. Attentive to issues relating to environmental protection and energy efficiency, Shelly Home Company became the first custom homebuilder in San Antonio to join the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Energy Star Program (ESP) in 2001. Still today our homes continue to be designed and built according to the ESP’s high standards. In 2002, our company was recognized by the EPA and Guaranteed Watts Savers for building the most energy efficient home in the greater San Antonio area. Most recently, Keith earned designation as a Certified Green Professional. Through this process, he became familiar with the latest practices and technologies for incorporating green-building principles most cost effectively. The Southern Living Custom Builder Program has chosen our company as the exclusive builder representative in San Antonio since 2003 due to the excellence in our home construction, design, and reputation as well as stability. In addition, we received the prestigious Custom Home Magazine Pacesetter Award in recognition of exceptional customer service in 2004.
